Lecture Ledger

$0.00

LectureLedger is designed for students or institutions that already have lecture transcripts and want those transcripts turned into reliable, study-ready material without interpretation or embellishment.

The user supplies a lecture transcript through an automated input connection. Once received, the transcript is treated as a complete record of what the lecturer actually said. The system does not consult external sources, add explanations, or attempt to “improve” the teaching. Its role is to organise and present the material clearly while preserving the lecturer’s original meaning and intent.

In the first stage, the transcript is cleaned only to the extent necessary to remove verbal clutter such as filler words or false starts. All substantive teaching content is retained. The lecture is then organised into a structured internal representation that reflects the lecture as delivered. This includes the lecture title if it can be determined from the transcript, a concise summary based solely on what was said, the major topics covered, detailed explanations of concepts exactly as taught, any assignments, deadlines, or dates mentioned, points of emphasis or warnings given by the lecturer, study tips explicitly stated during the lecture, question-and-answer exchanges that occurred, self-test questions derived directly from the lecture content, and any questions raised but not answered. If a category is not present in the transcript, it is left out rather than filled in.

In the second stage, this structured content is formatted into a polished lecture report. No new analysis or summarisation occurs at this point. The content is simply rendered into a clean, readable HTML layout designed to work reliably in email clients. Sections appear in a logical order, concepts are presented as full content blocks rather than bullet fragments, and any empty or irrelevant sections are omitted entirely.

The final result is delivered automatically to the user by email as a complete lecture report. What the user receives is a faithful, structured representation of the lecture, suitable for review, revision, or archiving. LectureLedger does not add interpretations, textbook-style explanations, external references, speaker labels, or inferred intent. Its sole purpose is to transform what was said in the lecture into a clear, well-organised document that reflects the teaching exactly as it occurred.
